The purpose of the following essay is to express my sincerest gratitude for the help and support that CHTAEF have given me in this last academic year. Also, I would like to report the benefits that I have obtained because of your support.

Thanks to the funds that were given to me, I was able to study both semesters without having to worry about not being able to due to economic deficiencies. This was a great blessing since I wouldn’t have been able to finish the academic year on my own. In the last two semesters, I was able to take classes that have enriched my knowledge and have been important in the growth of my career. During this period I was also able to start my first practice which was a great experience since I was able to actively participate in what I love to do and learn from those with more experience. With the practice I was able to put to use all the knowledge obtained in my years of studies, adding to the confidence and aspirations I have been building for the rest of my time as a student and my future career. I was also able to learn firsthand about the industry of tourism.

As can be seen in my academic records, I have been able to maintain an excellent grade average. Because of your support I have been able to concentrate on my studies rather than look for ways to pay for my tuition. Also, because of the work I was able to do during my practice, I was able to do extracurricular hours with the same Chef who was in charge of my practice. If not for your funds I would not have been able to accept that great opportunity.

My worries about not being able to study the last two semesters ceased because of your help, giving me the opportunity to continue doing what is my passion, that being to continue with my studies and better my techniques to reach my goal of being a professional and working in the industry.

I honestly did not believe that I would be selected to receive these funds knowing that there are other students, who like me, have dreams of reaching their goals and may even have the same economic strains as myself, which makes this a privilege and blessing for me. Having the certainty that I would be able to cover my tuition and be able to see the fruit of my labor has given me a lot of peace of mind these last semesters. I have been able to maintain a positive attitude, one of perseverance and hard work, offering always the best of myself, knowing that not only do I have a commitment with myself and my career, but with you whom I would not like to defraud because of your great generosity.

My greatest interest is to be in continuous personal and professional growth. This is why I have maintained myself in the constant process of learning, going beyond that which I have learned in the classroom.

I have bee able to use your help and obtained the maximum results, continuing to learn and having a great grade average. It has helped me to being many steps closer to reaching my goals as I was able to use my own money to take additional courses.

Finally, I would like to express my sincerest gratitude once again for helping those of us who continue to climb upwards against every obstacle.
