CHTAEF / Starwood Scholarship report 2009
To have another opportunity for career development was the main reason for me to apply for another CHTAEF scholarship. I was impressed when I finally got to the Culinary Institute of America’s Greystone campus located in the heart of Napa Valley, California. I was taken aback with every aspect of the school, all the staff and the instructors are extremely hospitable, plus the building holds a lot of history and sentimental value. CHTA Education Foundation and Starwood made this all possible.

Classes were always conducted in a highly professional manner. I felt very special to be in a class with five food scientists whose daily jobs were to develop new products for large companies all over the world. I felt even more special to be the only Caribbean national to be in that class as well, I took advantage of that opportunity to inform everyone one what Antigua and the Caribbean were all about. Overall I will cherish the memories I had in Napa Valley, I have made and kept in contact with my friends and has also gained more knowledge from that class. I am more confident in myself today than ever before. Many thanks to the CHTAEF and Starwood for making this possible!
