Over 20 PRESENTATIONS and breakout sessions in two days; all presented by the industry’s leading experts…
That’s the opportunity and reward that awaits delegates attending the upcoming Caribbean Hotel and Tourism INVESTMENT CONFERENCE taking place at the newly-opened Hyatt Regency in Trinidad, May 6-8. In addition to learning about the latest “Market Updates” “Industry Trends” and “Economic Outlook” for the tourism industry, there are also valuable networking events for delegates to meet and mix with colleagues from the financial community, developers, hoteliers (both local and international brands) and a mix of commercial real estate professionals, architects, marketing consultants and other related industry professionals. Over 400 delegates attended last year’s conference.

FILM AND MUSIC PROMOTED BY OECS
Some of the top film and music studios in the U.S. and Canada, along with their Caribbean counterparts and the Secretariet of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), have agreed to establish an annual OECS Film festival, while making technical and other resources available to support productions by the region’s fledgling film companies.  This was a result of a two-day conference last week organized by the OECS as the 2nd Annual OECS Development Conference to make the sector a major pillar of economic development.

SUCCESSFUL DATE
The Dominican Annual Tourism Exchange (DATE) has been reported a resounding success with 150 more delegates than last year’s Exchange, including about 15 additional buyer companies at the Barcelo Bávaro Convention Center earlier this month.
